Interpine Forestry is seeking a motivated team orientated individual for the following position(s):
Log Scaling Technician
One position exists for an enthusiastic forestry technician to become part of an established forestry services and technology company. (Rotorua or Kawerau Based)
This position will suit:
* Someone with log making and quality control experience in the wood processing industry. * A responsible, hard working person, who is interested in advancing their experience in domestic log scaling practices. * Full drivers licence essential. * Qualified log scaler holding NZQA Unit 6957 (Preferred). * Qualified chainsaw operator – NZQA Units 43, 6916, 6917 (Preferred).
The ideal applicant would have exposure to forestry operations, an appreciation for log grade specifications, a reasonable level of computer literacy, and maturity. Experience with a hand-held field computer would also be an advantage.

Field Technician Positions
We always welcome enquiries for positions within our forest inventory, wood quality and scaling operations. Although positions are not always available, you are welcome to register your interest.
Preferred attributes: • Tertiary qualified • Diploma in Forestry • NZ Certificate in forestry • NZQA forest plotting qualifications • Experience in forestry Full training is provided for those with a positive attitude to work. Competitive remuneration offered, with opportunities to travel. NB: Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work permit.
A full drivers license is essential.
