I am having problems converting some raw dataplus data into DBF format using the data converter.

The fileconverter error message i get is "Cannot open intermediate output file 'C:\DataPlusProfessionsal\CVT1259629439\Stand'."

'Stand' is the first level of two in my dataplus application. I've toggled all the fields in it and disabled that level for the output to produce one flat DBF file.

I am using Dataplus version v3.12, data collected on a windows mobile 5 based handheld PC. I get an error when trying to receive data from Dataplus CE host stating "an error occured attempting to read data from the CE device." but then i can ignore it and it seems to carry on functioning as normal after that. Could that be causing my problems downstream?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Martin

Hi

I am having the same problem with just one dataset when trying to asciiconvert, the others were fine.

"The column in the hand-held data file does not meet the required format in the intermediate file"

I opened the file that would not convert in to the file editor, and low & behold, the column is N5.0 instead of N3.0.
All the other dataset columns were N3.0, but just this one set dataset column somehow was saved as N5.0. How the heck does that happen?
The app's schema has never been touched! Anyway, how can I convert this column back to N3.0 so I can convert the data?

Thanks
Tony
