Accurate inventory cruise data

• Carefully stratify the standing resource and justify volume and taper function sets to eliminate variability.
• Use a pre-harvest inventory model that captures cruise data independent of cutting strategy and grade specification.

Optimal stand selection

• Accurately classify the standing resource into generic groups based on species mix, piece size, grade mix etc.
• Optimise stand classifications over present market conditions to decide which stand to harvest.

Accurate valuation of the standing resource

• Spend time on running simulation with various cutting strategies so that the unconstrained and present market value of the standing resource is realised.
